Campus Emergencies

For sick, injured or lost animals on the UNT campus, please do not delay calling. The longer you wait, the less likely we will be able to rescue the animal. Sick or lost animals are easily disoriented and at high risk for injury.

Area Adoption Groups

  • We do not take in stray animals .  If you need to find a home for your pet or  you are seeking to acquire a new pet please go to www.petfinder.com .  Before dealing with a rescue group always ask if they are kill or no kill.  Most rescue groups are overwhelmed with animals.  Be persistent but polite when calling or dealing with any rescue group.   You may increase your chances of a group taking a tame animal if it is up to date on shots and has been spayed or neutered OR offer a sizeable donation.  Because there are so many animals that need homes these factors do no guarantee a group will take an animal.  If you need low cost spay/neuter and shots in the Denton and Fort Worth area please  go to this web site http://www.texasforthem.org/  – the low cost spay neuter clinic.  We do offer $30 off coupons for this clinic.  If you need coupons please contact us. If you have feral cats that are in immediate danger and need moving please contact Barncats of Lewisville and talk to them BEFORE trapping  – info@barncats.org  Phone: 972-315-2875.
